News from the EE/IT Department

 

4th Generation Mobile Communication at the University of Applied Sciences Rosenheim!
Starting in Winter 2011/12, the EE/ITDepartment offers practical experiments for the new High-Speed Communication Standard "LTE" (Long Term Evolution) in the labs.

 

Profile

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (EE/IT) was founded in 1995. The EE/IT Department is part of the Faculty of Engineering. Currently about 270 students are enrolled in the EE/IT courses, advised and supported by 10 professors and 8 staff employees. The EE/IT Dept. offers two degree programs: a seven-semester Bachelor of Engineering and a three-semester Master of Engineering program. The EE/IT Master's program enjoys great popularity with international students, not least because it is offered in English. Specialization is possible in the fields of Automation and Communication.

Anew building on the university campus accommodates the labs, lecture rooms, and offices of the EE/IT Department. The inviting, open, and functional architecture of the building embodies the character of an innovative engineering discipline and offers an environment for effective teaching, studying, and working.
