The computer center offers every student, lecturer and staff member an e-mail account with SPAM protection.
Students have received further information about the e-mail account at the enrollment, along with the user id, staff members receive further information from the human resources department.
It is strongly suggested to make use of the provided e-mail account, since most of the university's communication (appointments, lectures, scripts etc.) will be electronically.
You can access your personal e-mail account from the computers at the computer center or from your computer at home / connected with a campus network. The easiest way is to use your Browser and start the Webmail webinterface. It is also possible to add the university's e-mail account to your mail client (like Thunderbird or Outlook).
